Dr. Linda-Marie Lavenburg is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. She is board certified in internal medicine, obesity medicine and nephrology. She completed internal medicine and pediatric residency at SUNY-Stony Brook, a clinical obesity medicine fellowship at NYU-Langone, and nephrology fellowship and Masters of Science in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania. She has a Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition-Basic Science from Penn State University and several years of experience as a community health educator. She currently practices adult obesity medicine and adult nephrology at University of Pittsburgh. Her research is centered on the intersect of obesity and kidney disease management and their effects on longitudinal kidney and patient-reported outcomes. She is currently sponsored by the American Heart Association to develop and pilot a lifestyle intervention program for people with chronic kidney disease.
